Quick summary:

The seller gives me two iPhones, and I, the biggest MacFan… don’t know which one’s which. To which the vendor replies: “of course you don’t know, they come from the same factory… So which one for you?”

I was in Kuala Lumpur when the latest Apple iPhones came out.
–  Good morning, iPhone please.
– Apple?
– ?? And what others can there be?
– Normal ones.
– Apple then, please.
– Shame… The normal ones are three times cheaper, and they break the same…
And then the shameful part…
The seller gives me two iPhones, and I, the biggest MacFan… don’t know which one’s which. To which the vendor replies: “of course you don’t know, they come from the same factory… So which one for you?”
Who will guess if I bought it? And which one?
Ok – anyone who knows me knows that I did not buy the non-original one. But few things in Asia make me wonder…
Apparently, China is the only country where there is a campaign urging to buy the original iPhone. Since the sale of counterfeit products there happens on such a scale, then why is this not a problem in Europe?
The second thing: does such phone work with the Apple devices as well as the original one? Because the chargers often fail (or is it only my computer, behaving like a princess, sensing that the charger is not an original one?)
Anyway… considering that the love for iPhone really is love (there are interruptions, it loses the reception, battery needs charging after a few hours), I would not even think of swapping it for a cheaper model. If I have to suffer, I will suffer richly. 🙂
